Whitelisting internal email domains is a a valuable tool for maintaining the security, integrity, and ease of your organization's user verification process.

When a new user registers, their email domain is checked against your Whitelist. If their domain matches one on your list, your organization will be visible for selection to join. If not, your organization will not be made visible for request to access.

Benefits of Whitelisting

1. Enhanced Security: Only users with email addresses from trusted domains can request to join, reducing the risk of unauthorized access.

2. Simplified Onboarding: New users from approved domains can easily find and request to join your organization.

3. Improved Member Management: Administrators have better control over who can register, ensuring that only relevant users can submit an access request.

Do not whitelist domains outside your organization.

Setting up your whitelist

Step 1: Log into your RoundTables account 

Step 2: Access Settings with My Organization 

Step 3: Add Approved Email Domains

1. Locate Whitelisted Domains within Settings

2. Click on Add Domain

3. Enter the email domain you want to whitelist

4. Repeat the process for each internal domain your organization utilizes (e.g., `yourcompany.com` & `yourcompanyinc.com`)

5. Save your changes.

1. Locate Whitelisted Domains within Settings

2. Click the X on the domains want to remove

3. Save your changes.

Monitoring Access Requests

1. Regularly review the list of users who have requested to join your organization within Permissions.

2. Ensure that only users with approved domains are being granted access.

3. For any suspicious requests, take appropriate actions such as contacting the user for verification or denying the request.

Common Issues

• User is unable to invite a team member: Ensure the team member's email domain is correctly added to the Whitelist and there are no typos.

• Unexpected Access Requests: Regularly review and update the Whitelist to ensure it reflects your current organizational needs.
