More about the AI Company Data Initiative
The AI Company Data Initiative (AICDI) helps businesses to map their AI use, harness opportunities and mitigate operational risk. Through a voluntary survey, we support companies of all sizes to assess how AI is embedded in their operations, products and services. We provide a benchmark of AI policies and practices. This allows companies to maximise the potential of this technology while minimising risks to people and planet, positioning their business at the forefront of responsible AI adoption.
Powered by the Thomson Reuters Foundation and grounded in UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of AI, the AICDI is building a comprehensive global dataset to drive responsible corporate AI adoption, for the benefit of all. Thomson Reuters Foundation and Lenox Park Solutions are proud to be partnering to make the survey available to North American markets.
Why has the AI Company Data Initiative been developed?
There is currently limited data available on how companies are using AI tools, and what this means for people, society and the environment. A more transparent approach to AI adoption can drive best practice, create a benchmark for companies and investors, and ensure the technology is used for the benefit of all.
AICDI is part of the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s work to deliver unbiased, comprehensive and comparable data intelligence that drives responsible business practices. Through AICDI we are building a global dataset that will strengthen corporate AI governance, bring transparency to consumers and help build insurance risk frameworks.
Why should companies take part?
The free, voluntary survey has benefits that are aligned with real business needs:
- Benchmarking: Provides businesses with a benchmark for responsible AI adoption.
